This guide helps you unlock all 46 trophies‚ including the Platinum‚ in this charming PS5 platformer. Discover how to earn each trophy with ease and enjoy the game’s creative levels and DualSense features. This is a game many people might look past in their excitement to play one of the AAA launch titles for the PlayStation 5, but that would be a mistake. Astro’s Playroom is utterly charming, surprisingly deep and shows, more than many other titles, some of what makes the PS5 unique. Better graphics and faster load times are fine, but the subtle effects that are imparted via the controller are something new — and something wonderful. And Astro shows that while Sony might excel at realistic and sometimes dark games, it’s also very capable of making a title that young kids can enjoy.
The cameos are plentiful and amusing, with franchises that go beyond the first-party catalogue, along with some surprisingly deep cuts that made me feel very old. But in the midst of all that history, Astro feels like an adorably fresh face; I’m glad to see the character break out of the confines of VR and reach out to a broader audience. Astro’s Playroom may not be the deepest or most ambitious game on PS5, but its humor and playfulness are just delightful.
On the capsule itself, we included a small hint showing the image of a clock. Looking carefully around the level nearby, you will find a similar clock symbol carved into one of the trees up above. [edit] Memory Meadow guide is a bit wrong, no point getting the canister with a net in it at the start as you need your hands free to pull out the two cables to walk across first. If you’re having trouble getting those new messages to pop up, you might try waiting until you’ve completed the relatively short game’s main campaign. We had trouble getting the message to appear on a new save file but saw it immediately upon entering a completed one.
Astro’s Playroom Gacha Machine Has A Hidden Dualsense Mechanic
The rumble feedback lets you get a sense of the rain that falls on you or the fluttering of snowfall. The adaptive triggers get harder to press when aspects of the game demand — like judging how tight to pull a spring before releasing. This means you need deft soft touches as much as quick hard presses — like when you have to gently press the triggers to grip a handhold without doing it too tight and making them crumble. Those who hop into Astro’s Playroom today will be met with a message that a “mysterious portal” has opened up in the center of the game’s collectible hub, the PS LABO.
We hope you enjoy these updates as much as we had fun making them! In addition to these Special Bots, the PlayStation Labo received an update, so we invite you to check it out and add new artefacts to your collection. We will be back soon with 2 more riddles on the run-up to the release of Astro Bot.
You can also visit the GPU Jungle, which, as the name implies, is more of a jungle ruin to play around in, and the SSD Speedway with its neon sci-fi backdrop. Hopefully, this has helped you to get the most out of the free PS5 platformer. If you have any further tips, tricks, and secrets to share, please post them in the comments section below. For this part of our Astro’s Playroom guide, we’re going to reveal all collectibles locations. You can keep track of the collectibles you’ve found in each level from the Map, which you can access by pushing the Options button. Once you’ve 100% completed Astro’s Playroom, consider checking out our Astro Bot PS5 guide for a full walkthrough of all the collectibles in Team ASOBI’s latest game.
Thanks to analytics company Newzoo, we learned what kind of next-gen games Americans played in the first days after the launch of PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Most of them involve collectibles and completing specific parts of the story. In the first chapter of our guide, you will find Beginner’s Guide and descriptions of the fights against Bosses. The chapter contains information about the controls, the game’s length and language version. Find an up-to-date list of every game available in the Xbox Game Pass (and PC Game Pass) library at all membership levels, and find out which games are coming soon and leaving soon.
The platform design is rarely all that inspired though and we’re still very disappointed that all the enemies are direct rip-offs of Mario enemies, even relatively obscure ones like Pokey and Wiggler. They act and are defeated in exactly the same way, which seems like the act of a hopelessly uninspired wannabe, which is the exact opposite impression you get from every other aspect of the game. From here, jump right through two glass panels, but instead of using the switch on the right, jump left to get onto a platform with water on it, then left again through some glass. Land inside the box here and then spring out to get the PS Move Sharp Shooter.
It seems the special bots are integrated into the guide as opposed to being tacked on as an addendum. Either way, most guides are from when it came out, and a lot more people have a PS5 now. Those that haven’t played it have been tempted to give it a go with a second installment being announced, so an updated guide will be helpful to quite a few I would imagine. Astro’s Playroom is the latest platformer starring Astro Bot that comes pre-loaded on the PlayStation 5.

However, they have an even more useful purpose in that they can contribute to the player’s coin collection efforts. Casino win79 yields one coin, two hits yield two coins, but three hits will yield the maximum of seven coins, meaning that interested individuals might want to put some serious effort into this. Please note that if they get killed, they will need to re-collect all of the coins since the last checkpoint, meaning that there is extra incentive for them to be careful. Every time I had fun with the game, it always ended in me encountering an area that is simply impossible for me to finish. This includes all the aforementioned key areas of levels with physical mandatory controls, but also some minor elements that appear briefly through the game. Further mandatory physical interaction with the controller includes blowing into the microphone and flicking your finger to launch Astro like a slingshot.
If you want to own all the collectibles in the game, you’ll need up to 6,000 coins to win prizes in the PlayStation Lab’s prize draw machine. This Trophy is earned by doing well in the races in Network Speed Run, which is located between the blue and green doorways in the CPU Plaza. To earn it, you need to race in all eight levels and have all your best times total up to less than seven minutes (so an average of about 52.5 seconds each). Progress through the level to the area with the floating DualShock controller clouds. Use the clouds to reach the ledges on the wall opposite, and then climb up to the area above.
